On the very same Apostolic forum, there was a thread about private marriage covenants without the government involved, and if you review the poll the outcome based on those who participated, was in favor of the idea 10 to 2.

So, clearly the majority of those who read the post and voted feel that a true, covenant marriage before God without "civil government" involvement is ideal. Especially seeing that government has not only undermined marriage with unbiblical laws governing it, but the government has also redefined "civil marriage" to include gay marriage. Essentially, they favor a more libertarian solution, get government out of private contracts and associations.
