You must be a single male living alone.

Who doesn't exercise much...

I make chili with five pounds of beef and it's gone the next day.

If eggs and sausage (polska kielbasa, all beef) are on the menu it'll take about 18-24 eggs, 4 packs of sausage, and half a loaf of bread for toast. Plus 1 or 2 tomatoes if we're feeling luxurious.

If mashed potatoes are on the list that's 10 pounds right there. If you hurry the next morning you MIGHT get some leftovers.

You have a family. How much of that do you eat?

I’ve been sleeping a lot since 8 or 9 days ago. When I’m awake it seems like I’m constantly eating.

Anyway, I’m going to cook a pack of bacon, not sure the weight... and 5 scrambled eggs before my doc appt.
Eggs are small anyway. I want to see how long I am satisfied before eating again.
I am sedentary... so this will be interesting.

If you're a grain addict, the first three to five or maybe even seven days you go without grains, you are going to feel hungry all the time. Grains cause bloat, which distends the stomach, making your stomach larger than it normally is. Until the distension wears off and your stomach returns to normal size, it is very hard to not feel hungry.

But once that passes, you might find yourself feeling satisfied on a lot less food in general.
