The machine crashed right into my face ( was too close to my work) . it knocked me clean off the top of the ladder. 10 feet straight back on my back, since I don't use a paddle switch (don't like'em) the machine starting taring up the ground near my head. I turned over hit the button and shut her down. My face was covered in blood, I thought I knocked out my upper row of teeth, and broke my nose. Went over to my cooler grabbed an ice bag and held it on my face, feeling for my teeth. They were there, halleluyah! Nose was all messed up, and the cartilage was hurt, but no broke nose. Praise Jesus! Yes, looking forward of dying by old ageism.

I wear googles, and a lower mask. It was totally my fault, I was way too close to the work. That is a pet peeve of mine. Always telling everyone to back their ladder up, give yourself ample room between you and the work. I was wore out from the day and the heat. I was on the job by myself because everyone went to the Keys to go to work and I can't leave because we got too much going on with church, Bible studies, and working with people. Anyway it was all my fault, no one to blame but me. I praise Jesus that He didn't let all my top row of teeth get knocked out. Also didn't split my nose and break it.
A flip shield would of done wonders to help.

I'm with you. I wouldn't mind visiting a snake handling church simply for the experience, but I'm afraid they'll rebuke as "not spiritual enough" to hold them serpents.

In February or March I was listening to old time song services online. Watching some of them, something was off, just didn’t sit right with me. They looked like holiness folk. I listen tontrinitarians song often, so it couldn’t be that.
Lo and behold, in each video that didn’t sit right, they began to handle snakes.

They won't rebuke you for not taking up a snake. Those who want to handle go up front and git r done. Those who don't stay in the pew area.

Some of that preaching does sound like they may believe that you don’t believe if you don’t handle the serpent. One said something like “This doesn’t separate the men from the boys, it separates the believers from the nonbelievers”. It is just a baby step to saying that if you don’t believe you cannot be saved.
I know Paul was bitten when he was gathering firewood, but he shook the serpent of into the fire IIRC he didn’t box it up and bring it to subsequent services.
Having said all that, I do find this interesting. I might attend one of their services if the opportunity presented itself. And I just might . . .
No I wouldn’t.

Of course they believe that "those that believe" will take up serpents. But they also know (like most people not on the internet) that a visitor isn't just going to show up one day and grab a handful of diamondbacks.
It's easy to judge people we don't know except through youtube videos and hearsay.
Are there wackjobs up in them thar hollers? Sure. Probably not as many as in them big cities, though, who don't even know which bathroom to use.
