Yes Sir,
This book tells of the history of the merger.

Goes into a thorough tale of events and those involved on both the PCI AND PAofJC.

With documents and many photos of the meetings and ministers involved.

Respectfuly,

Re: Gospel Tidings magazine

Elder I. H. Terry & the Davis brothers bore a lot of responsibility of changing the majority of the West Coast concerning the new birth message although there were some who taught it but many did not.

Christian Life College library is willing to house and archive old issues of the Gospel Tidings magazine. We are hoping to compile a full set. If you have old issues, send them to the college library.

There is a sort of memorial/museum room with many of his writings, and books.

Yessir,
I love to study and read the word, but often find myself when I'm with friends talking about our history as a movement. I love to learn about that stuff, those honorable men, places where it all happened.

Took a trip recently, with my wife and girls to that Beautiful Church. The Mother Church of Pentecost. The Bishop had one of his good men give us a tour. We took so many pictures, just the awe of the place. Where heaven kissed the earth. Stood Behind the pulpit, sat in the balcony. They took down that painting of Jesus Being Baptized by John the Baptist. Behind the baptistery, the one I heard so much about. I also found it interesting that the other painting supposedly ruined were all still there. The ones that the elder Haywood painted himself. I bought a few tracks and charts I never seen before drawn and compiled by the elder. Very cool.

Some people go to war memorials things like that. I lived in the world 20 yrs and now for God 20 I have a lot of catching up to do I'm not interested as much in those things.

Re: Gospel Tidings magazine

This is a reminder I am still on the hunt for old copies of the Gospel Tidings of the Western District of the UPC.

Someone, somewhere has boxes of them. Still looking for that person !!!

Scott - Have you checked with Walter Sturdivan? Former pastor, now retired, of the United Pentecostal Church of East Stockton who also was Editor of the Gospel Tidings at one time.
