Yes. In Houston I’d get small trips. It’s not worth driving 9 minutes to take a woman to her neighborhood across the street from the college campus.
In the Rio Grande Valley I had a Lyft request late at night. The customer didn’t enter their address. I got a range of address numbers in front of a storefront. I stopped. Called the rider. She was stoned out of her mind. She asked how much is the cost for the food. I’m like, “what food?” She said, “You said you would bring us food.” I’m confused at this point. She says, “Nevermind, we’re lost.” And ended the call.
With the things that go on down here in the dark of night it could have been some kind of an ambush. Gladly it wasn’t. Don’t know how it goes here. In Houston many Lyft passengers are people that were thrown off of Uber’s platform.
I’m waiting on a call for a job. Site will be out of state. The disgruntled union members need to hurry and agree to strike... so I can do security for their employer.
I’m going to email the HR guy in the a.m. to ask how soon we fly out when the company says the strike is on. If it’s same day I kinda have to wait it out. If they wait until the next day then I can drive to Houston and make a little $.
Thanks for the prayers.
