hello....Hello....HELLO!

I'm sure most of you either don't remember me, don't know me, or don't care at all, but I use to come around these parts way back in the good ol' days. Miss my friends, miss the discussions (not the fussin' so much!). All is good in OneAccordLand, I'm as fat as a pig, have had a bout of heart trouble, (all is well now), two surgeries and as blessed as any man can be. Just turned 61 and sure ain't as young as I use to be. But, on the other hand, not as old as I will be. Hope all are well, still lovin' the Lord. Take care...God bless all.

One Accordian,

Good to hear from you! Sorry about your health issues but glad it looks like you have come through them ok. Don't be a stranger.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
