Hi, All
Right now, Southeastern WI is under a state of emergency, due to flooding. The Fox River has overflowed its banks due to heavy rains and storms.
We are okay where we are at, but the pastor and family of the UPCI affiliated church in Burlington, WI, friends of ours, are in a bad way right now. Their basement is flooded, the city has been closed off by emergency personnel, there is no power, a curfew has been issued, and more rain is forecasted. Thankfully, the pastor's wife and children were already out of town and are staying with family, but he is staying at the home to keep an eye on things. I am in contact with them, checking on him periodically.
He has no air conditioning, fans, or ice, (it's almost 90 here right now), and most of their food is soon to be inedible, if not already ruined. The National Guard has been called in, and other emergency personnel are available to relieve any in need, but they have asked for prayer.
One of my coworkers had to be rescued from her car by raft yesterday. Some are having it much worse. I saw one video where the first floor of woman's house was being completely overrun with water.
