I got to 40 seconds but just couldn't go forward.
I think it is interesting how if your sources of information are primarily the mainstream news media, your interpretation of bible prophecy follows certain, um... certain lines of thought, I guess you could call it.
It's almost as if...
... nah, never mind about that. We can't rock the boat TOO much. It might upset the space time continuum or something, and cause drastic cataclysmic results...

Re: Brother Ken Raggio 4 Global Minds
Years ago our church hosted an Endtime prophecy event as an outreach to the community. It was centered around one particular teacher and certain events that were soon to unfold involving George Bush. We had tons of sinners come to that event and not one of them got saved. None of the events we told them were going to happen actually happened. In my opinion, it may have cast some shadow on the reputable nature of our church in the minds of some who attended, however I pray not.
It was a learning point for me and I honestly feel that our church has matured past that kind of sensationalism as well. I wish all of Pentecost would stop playing the guessing game and just preach the Gospel and be led of the Holy Ghost. Give us a few Acts 5 experiences and we wont need sensationalism to put fear in people's hearts.

Hey, without a doubt, dangerous and dark times are ahead for our nation/ world. Regardless of how that fits into the scheme of Bible prophecy, its an opportunity for the Church to be a light.
I'm not looking for the anti-Christ I'm looking for Jesus.
And Benincasa....stop posting videos I thought you were a conservative!

Re: Brother Ken Raggio 4 Global Minds
I heard one preacher say he was no longer preaching about Christ's return because when people focused on that and the possible nearness of it, they became lazy and complacent, worried only about their own selves. I cannot and will not speak for anyone else, but knowing that each day draws me closer to His return, or to my own going on with Him makes me want to do more, not less. I have my own opinions and beliefs in eschatology, which have varied form day to day ( ), but believing what I believe, I am not going to condemn anyone for believing a different eschatology. We all will stand before Christ, and one thing He will not say is that we did too much or took Him too seriously. Therefore, let's work to win as many as we can, and keep the waters of baptism stirred. We are in dark times, and while I do believe in days prior to Great Tribulation, I am not sure if I am right. All I know is that while it is day, while I have one more chance, while I have the opportunity to work, I am going to work, and let the chips fall where they may.
A prepared church never has to worry about the time. We are too busy working the work while it is day.
Just my opinion.

I remember a few decades ago there was a man who was all the rage in OP circles. He claimed to have been a CIA operative and spoke about all of this inside information about that supercomputer in Belgium many Christians feared was "the Beast" back in the 70's and 80's. His stories of his life and exploits got wilder and wilder until some enterprising preacher added it all up and it would have been impossible for him to have done all he said he had done and been in all of the places he said he had been in at his age. He eventually got discredited but not before many churches heavily advertised meetings with this charlatan. Luckily there was no internet then and the mainstream media didn't care so very few folks who heard this guy ever knew it was all a scam.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I really dislike when people get all hyped up about the sensational, it's like they can't be satisfied with the pure and simple, like Paul preached 1 Cor 2:3, For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

Re: Brother Ken Raggio 4 Global Minds
There's a pastor here who was previously up north. He used to have an end time conference where he would use IB's end time material. The reports, photos and videos from the conference showed a lot of people would come and they had many get baptized and received the HG. I don't know how many were discipled and remain, but there were a lot who came in during the conference at least.
The first couple years after moving here, he would fly back up to where he used to pastor on weekends to do the same end time conference.
He tried the same kind of conference here and didn't have near the same kind of results, so I don't believe he does it anymore.
