The basic statement of faith for the UPCI has changed little sense its inception, when Brother Witherspoon first wrote it, as a way to accommodate the "One-stepper" population in the PCI.

The key portion was that even though obeying Acts 2:38 would be considered the doctrine of full salvation, that they would all strive to maintain the unity of the Spirit and would not allow contention between brethren to disunify of the Body.

Here it is:

The basic and fundamental doctrine of this organization shall be the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

We shall endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come into the unity of the faith, at the same time admonishing all brethren that they shall not contend for their different views to the disunity of the body.

The UPCI is on its way out. It will not be long till it will be gone.

Yeah here in Cleveland, not only is it cold and snowing, but I ran out of antifreeze to feed my kittens!
