Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
Have you thought about the Flower Pentecostal Heritage Center in Springfield?

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
Darrin and the team at Flower have worked with me from the beginning. Actually, they end up with the pictures that come my way. Their skill set and expertise are second to none.
They work in close cooperation with the UPC and other Oneness organizations. So if you want to see the picture of MR Tatman and GT Haywood, it can be found online at their website.
I found the picture, they process it and everyone benefits.

Yep they are very Pentecostal friendly! One day I want to take a trip to the mother land and go to that museum.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
I have a picture of a group of students from the Harry Morse Bible school circa 1944. One of the students is chief Wango Neima. He pastored in Coolidge, Az.
How many Apostolic Chief pastors can there be ? No one I chatted with knew anything about him.
There was once a monthly magazine published by the Arizona District of the UPC. I cannot find anyone who has any copies of that rag.
Not a productive day.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
Today, I found an online copy of the 1952 UPC ministerial directory.
This means I can construct a list of ministers in California in 1952.
It also means I can hunt down some slippery former students of Harry Morse.
I am very excited.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
"Colored ministers" are separated from the other ministers. Japanese ministers are mixed in with the whites, but "colored" have their own section.
The UPC has come a long way.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
In 1952 UPC California there were...
81 churches ( actually city where license holder resided)
164 ministers
15% of license holders were women
no colored ministers
Cities with the highest concentration of ministers:
8 Fresno
7 Modesto
5 Oakland
5 in Napa
5 in Los Angeles
4 San Francisco
Still crunching the numbers.
