The pressure to cave on these logical immigration steps will be enormous. I pray he stays the course.

Halting immigration from a few countries temporarily for evaluation does not constitute the humanitarian crisis the media portrays, nor does halting the illegal flow from Mexico.

When the wall is complete, it will become an accepted part of life in a matter of weeks. Nobody will think about it anymore. Illegal immigration will be a thing of the past. Meanwhile, generous amounts of visas will still be given to wonderful people from Mexico. And the world will not have ended.

The Obama administration stopped processing visa applications from Iraq in 2011 for six months. This happened after al-Qaeda operatives were found to have slipped through the vetting by applying as refugees. This is nothing new, and the administration will continue to push on what they believe will stop refugees from Syria. Walks in Toe Jam, the Trump administration is going to be around for 4 years, these guys only started 10, 11 days ago. I feel we have just seen the tip of this iceberg. My bigger concern is idiots doing what was done in the masjid in Quebec city, and the masjid fire in Texas (don't know how it started) but if it was due to foul play then that's sad. Terrorism isn't like fighting a standing army, but you are coming up against an invisible enemy who hides themselves among the innocent to gain access to others. The Trump administration isn't banning Muslims, but placing a temporary halt to refugees coming from seven Muslim countries who could possibly send individuals who may have other things on their mind, then to find a safe haven.

Dude I'm a white boy in the middle east and need no theoretical lecture about how invisible terrorists can be. You know how many the Saudis bag and tag over here? They got some in Jeddah last week. They ended up just blowing themselves to bits.

Bagging the guys who risked their lives to help our troops in Iraq wasn't cool. They love America and what America has always stood for more than most of you do. I am personally unaffected by this whole thing but looking at this objectively Trump and his supporters look like the cornpone who assembled the mustang in the living room then stood around scratching his shorts trying to figure out what to do with it and how to get it out.

Bush put country-specific limits and very tough processing requirements in place long before Obama or Trump and Bush's rules were well-executed and they held up. Trump is coming across like a bumbling idiot. US borders can be protected and guarded without trampling on the Constitution to do it.
