Today's racists are trying to be smart about achieving their desired goals: stir the fear and hatred up inside people and we will manipulate them to achieve our goals.
This tactic is not new.
It has always been a dirty way to achieve political goals, through hate.
Based on what I have read, heard and seen with my own eyes, I am not apologizing for calling Bannon a racist.
He has specifically used hate to manipulate people!

Hatred is not the same as racism, JD. And every time you blur the lines with what you consider racism, you dilute the meaning of the word, to the point where it becomes a meaningless word.

Did you catch that? Bannon is not described as an anti-Semite in the statement. He's described as presiding over the website of the Alt-right, "a loose-knit group of white nationalists and unabashed anti-Semites and racists." Presiding over a group which includes anti-Semites is not the same as BEING anti-Semite.

This is important and it is true - Breitbart has attracted a large group of the Alt-Right. Even though there is nothing Bannon has done openly, other than being a bully, the site has attracted these people. You can see that in the comments section.

I would agree with that assessment.
However, why have they been "attracted"?
I would state they have been attracted because of illegal immigration and the issue it has become.

The hatred that these people operate in is race (and religion) based.
Yes, this would be racism.

JD - can you give some links to back your assessment on Bannon?
