Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Gender differences in clothing was a given.

In pagan cultures as well as Judaic.

In our culture Transgenderism has become normal.

Just one more extra biblical / un biblical hobby horse rode in the erroneous name of "holiness".

Not just one Christmas tree but this past year a total of 5 or 6. One large downstairs, one large upstairs, and three or four smaller ones in bedrooms or window dormers on the second story.

Oh, and laser and LED lights shining on the house with a few old fashioned lights as well.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Oh, sweet! I wonder how much eschatology had to do with it,
if anything. When people focus on Jesus and the cross they
turn away from legalism. <inserts plug for preterism>
