It doesn't.

GOP and their followers are winning to spin anything that has anything to do with holding corporations accountable for their actions as an assault on freedom.

It's one of the drums of the GOP, but they never get tired of the beat.

I do find it curious that the Supreme Court did what they did, meaning to me there has to be some sort of legitimate legal issue with HOW this Administration is going about trying to do a very good thing.

Repubs, demos, everyone will be whining if this gets implemented. "Under a cap and trade system energy costs will necessarily skyrocket as power companies pass on the cost of retrofitting to comply, and they will pass these costs onto consumers, including businesses." That is a quote from Obama in 2008. This system will be devastating to businesses and job creators in manufacturing as well as individual consumers with a negligible effect on further limiting carbon emissions. The twenty some states who brought this issue to the court understand the stifling effect this will have on their economies.

fmc & carl - here is the difference. I do not deny the right of the "government" to set environmental policy.
However, this is an overreach by the EPA and by extension the executive branch.
If the legislative branch had passed this regulation, that is within their right.
Not the EPA.

Exactly. This would not just affect a few greedy, evil corporations that were causing excessive pollution. But would increase costs to everyone and should be considered as a legislative process.
