Life or Death
I need prayers for myself. I can't get through to God. I've been trying for three days. All together, I think I've spent 35 minutes repeating a sentence. It's something I want to happen. Maybe he'll be more likely to hear if others are mentioning me in their prayers. I'm having family problems. I don't want to say anymore about that. I need to be separated from two people that I know. I can't explain why. It's personal. I'm in a situation where I don't have that much freedom. That's all.

Re: Life or Death
There was a young boy I knew personally, a good Christian guy, "saved" parents, but in a bad situation.
He was a teenager and as I look back on his situation, the best thing he could have done was to just leave and I wish he had just left earlier.
He didn't think he had a place to go.
He didn't want to embarrass anyone.
He should have left-- simply walked away and refuse to return.
You have that power.
I will pray for you.
You have the power to simply walk away.

I'm praying for you to have the strength not to worry, but to know that all things God will work for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Re: Life or Death
Amen. Surely God has heard you; this may be a lesson on relying on God's grace.

Re: Life or Death
Jermyn, I can't just leave. It's not that simple. There's more to the story.
Btw, my name is Sierra Cope. So when you mention me, God will know who you're talking about.

If you prayed you already got through to God. You don't need to feel anything. He said he hears all prayer except from those who regard sin in their hearts. He heard you. Just trust he us working on it now whether you can see it or not. You need to learn to use faith. Faith is knowing he heard you just because his word says he hears when you pray.

Excellent advice!
I will join in prayer with you Sierra. There are times when you are in the thick of a battle that you do not know how to pray. I will be glad to lift your name to the Lord Jesus and believe that the answer is on its way. One thing I have learned though... the Lord hardly ever responds with an answer that is like I "thought" it should be, but it is always better than I could ever have imagined!
I will be praying for you, and believing the Lord has the answer on the way

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
