I would worry more about inflation before I'd worry about collapse. However, our parents or grandparents lived through the depression & survived. History does tend to repeat, but I think these people that run around making money off people's fears are ridiculous.

But what is even more ridiculous is that the people who follow these guys send them huge amounts of money. I was raised by a prepper and we had a bomb shelter, ammo, and food stockpiled. Food that we had to throw away after my dad passed. But he fought in World War II, went throughout Europe and believed that one day America would collapse. That fascism would again rise up, and need to be beaten back down. He never ever, pushed his views on anyone. Was a tried and true patriot, loved the United States. A lot of the things he would tell me as I was growing up I have seen them come to pass.
But Jim Bakker is still the same guy who was busted back in the 80s with his Long Island secretary. He is still making money off of people who are sincere, and look at him as a trustworthy minister.

You would think people would learn, but some do not. He's been back putting his hands into people's pockets for some time now. Fear obviously sells.
Look at Popoff, too. He was shown to be a fraud by Randi and then still was able to go back and 'minister'.

What does "collapse" even mean? The dollar has already lost over 99% of it's value. It is openly acknowledged--even in mainstream news, back in like '34--that what would become JFKs "cabal" is who runs the country, for their interests; i think...Truman? made the same admission, that he had sold the country out. So you have to define collapse.
These things flourish because the dollar should have "collapsed" a long time ago, but we are really only now witnessing a new type of fiat, the petro-dollar, backed by military. This is why we attack places like Libya, Syria, etc.--to back the dollar.
The collapse is over. We live in the NWO now, like it or not. TPP (or is it TTP?) is batting cleanup, basically.
