Re: Has Steve Pixler left Apostolic Conservatism?

Esaias - here is what you said:

"Nobody outside Pentecostals and certain baptist groups think beard = hippy doper."

I was pointing out that many in society still look on beards, negatively.

So, I believe your statement is not entirely correct.

Lol

The church I attend has accepted a no beard policy, it was that way long before I ever got there, so I adhere to all principles and standards of my local assembly, so I won't argue beards, don't see the point.

My church says I shouldn't drink coca-cola, wear the color red, and can only have a rotary phone. Its been that way long before I got there and I adhere to all the principles and standards of my local assembly.

LOL!!! Clearly to do anything differently would be rebellion and rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (I Samuel 15:23) and of course you don't want to be considered a witch!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Adam and Eve had no formal license, I have no idea what you are trying to say.

It doesn't bother you that a code of dress that has absolutely no witness in scripture, should be a code that is followed to attain eternal salvation?

So, you have no problem with a couple in your church who was not "formally" married.
That is what I was trying to say!
