Re: Has Steve Pixler left Apostolic Conservatism?
It would seem that there would be some avenue where you could give a testimony. I know it is risky in today's world, but we open a portion of Sunday night service for testimonies. We don't put anyone up on a pedestal, but we do allow all to stand and say something good about the Lord.

Many times depending on the age of a pastor, beards are associated with a rebellious movement. bikers, hippies, etc. I mean no offense, but in the past it has portrayed an image that wasn't Christ like. Although possibly Jesus had a beard... Ironic. It is a cultural thing and I don't think you should take offense to it. You can always be prayerful of were God would have you be. Culture is shifting and fewer are holding to such standards. Though elders may not always be right, many still have the kingdom of God at heart. No one is perfect.

This is just a cop out for poor exegesis of scripture and pastoral overreach. Either its a sin or not. And if its a sin it doesn't matter if the pastor is 65 or 25, it should be preached, regardless if culture.
And if its not (and come on facial hair, really?) then what right does a pastor have to treat someone like a second class saint?
And I'm with Esaias, if a pastor can't get this right then what else are the missing the mark on?

And on the flip side, there is a multitude will teach whatever people want to hear. They hide it under the guise of love, but it is really fear and a desire to produce large audiences.
Quote:
2 Tim. 3:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

And some will preach the traditions of men out of fear of being disfellowshipped by their peers...

It would seem that anywhere humanity is involved there are faults and short comings. God is perfect but when human will is involved there is always problems.

Uhhh, I believe that you already did that.
