This link allows you to read along while listening to each portion being read to you.

Gateway has the same audio, but you can choose which version you want to hear. I like this because you can listen in the NLT while reading the KJV.

Re: 2015 Bread Bible Reading Program
I did the BREAD for several years and found it burdensome in the fact that some days I had time to read more, and some days I didn't have time to read as much, and I found myself speed reading but not really digesting what I was reading, if that makes sense. It was also a weight that I carried, trying to keep up with the scheduled reading, and I found that the struggle of trying to read the same amount every day, not more or less, was not productive for me.
I quit the BREAD program, started in Genesis one day, and began to read through the Bible on my own, working my way through the OT and NT together. It was amazing. I loved the perspective of reading an entire book in one sitting, since I wasn't on a "schedule" that I felt bound to keep. I found the Word just came alive in my heart and reading the Bible each morning was the best part of my day. I read through the entire Bible within a couple of months! And I found that I had retained, understood, and taken to heart much more in that time than I ever had on the Bread program.
That was just my experience, but I highly recommend reading through the Bible at least once at your own leisurely pace without a set schedule, and see how the Word is able to become a light in your heart and life, and how you will thirst to read it more and more

I've used the Bible Through the Year a couple of times and I agree - it's burdensome and cuts into the flow of thinking, skipping around like it does.
I heard GWB say that he reads through the OT one year and the NT (more than once) the next year. I tried that a few years and liked that plan as well.
And one year, reading through the OT, I was so frustrated with Israel! I was thinking, "Good grief, people. Get your act together!" I then skipped reading it the next year. LOL!

Yes, I know! I thought the same thing reading through the OT too... so frustrating to see that they "never" seemed to learn their lesson, and then I would always fall to my knees and ask the Lord to keep me from making the same mistakes as Israel!
I like the idea of reading through the OT one year and NT next. I am just very "liberal" with my bible reading now, and usually read through the Bible as quickly or as slowly as I need to, sometimes it is several times a year I read through the whole Bible. I feel it is more important to absorb and think about what I am reading than to try to stay on a schedule of reading it all through.
Lately I have just been reading through Isaiah and trying to in-depth study that book.
