The more I think about it the more I think that calling Mary the Mother of God became popular as a way of determining who believed Jesus was God from birth on and those who believe he later became God by the Spirit in some way.

That sounds logical , Beloved.

Personally, I believe that those men that seized possession of the physical elements of the church had not truly
repented nor were they endowed with the Holy Spirit. I believe that the "...ravening wolves..." of whom Paul spoke came into
the church with all subtlety and with their false gospel and doctrines of devils drove out the called and elect of God.

The light has been taken out of the darkness, and will seek refuge and solace solely in the light.

You cannot quote Christ calling Himself God for a reason. Why all the torturous logic i don't quite get, but there it is.

Re: Apostolic But Not Believing Jesus is The Fathe

Isaiah 43:11 I, even, I am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. Notice that this was God SPEAKING before He became flesh.
John 4:42 (speaking of the woman at the well) Now we believe, not because of thy saying; for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the SAVIOUR of the world.
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a SAVIOUR, which is Christ the Lord.
Hos 13:4 Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no SAVIOUR BESIDE ME.

Yup, God was born in the flesh to be a SAVIOUR as stated above in scripture.
