If I told you all the details of the jury I just participated in (which I am not going to do), you would see why I have the utmost confidence in the average American handling these things. We have a bulldog of a DA who was the Prosecutor in this case, but we listened to the evidence and not his antics. People aren't stupid.

What bothers me is, there is at least a 88% chance they were right but people don't care and want to drag his butt out and hang him now...
BTW what makes anyone believe this was all about race? Because he was black? thats it?

Oh really? Where is the evidence? They've yet produced zilch.
This same cop is facing a lawsuit by two men for unlawful arrest, where the cop claimed the men possessed marijuana but didn't.
He's also been sued in other cases where the city paid a settlement.
This isn't a good cop.

I've been on two criminal trial juries and been on a few criminal and civil trial mock juries (where the case is real, but the prosecutor or defense team is honing their argument to see what possible outcomes there may be). It's a great system, but not without fault.

BTW, I have 4 cousins who served on various police forces in Illinois and Tennessee. I've been around enough cops to know not all are bad, which is why when a case like this comes up with a dirty cop who's lied and broke the law, I want him stripped of his badge and uniform so he can't continue his lawless behavior.
