Yeah brother, I can just see Jesus now, not allowing a vinegar(wine) to touch His lips on a cross, reflecting back how he used to get a little "buzz" with his disciples back in the day...LOL
Mat 27:34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
This was a completely different situation. Jesus probably did not touch the pain killer, because he wanted to feel the full effect of the pain.
he was not in a social setting with his disciples like the prior night.
If we want to follow his example, then no Apostolic should ever take any pain killers.

I read from that link and it is probably right. If someone was drinking strictly for a medical purpose and was being private. I would be much more open minded, but in that case they probably wouldn't be on some forum teaching Christian liberty, bottoms up. I have said before though, I don't know for sure it is heaven or hell thing, but I just couldn't ever bring myself to do it or teach its o.k. It is definitely not expedient.
You don't have to teach it's ok, but teaching it's a sin to even sip a tiny amount of wine, which wont make you drunk, is unbiblical

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
Why lead people into social drinking if we already KNOW what happens to some that drink? The doctor told my sister just one spoonful of it is enough to bring my sister down again....She has belonged to the AA for many years....I once went with her to a meeting and saw the hands of a once skilled doctor trembling so bad he could not pour me a cup of coffee...no my friends I want none of it and will never encourage anyone to drink it....
Nobody is leading anyone into social drinking. Nothing happens. When I first drank I did it because I wanted to get drunk.
Your sister already has an addiction so she should not drink

BTW Jesus tasted it
Mat 27:34 they gave Him vinegar mixed with gall to drink. And when He had tasted, He would not drink.

No, I just think this was part of a Nazarite vow, like John the Baptist had, and he took it seriously.
In a type brethren, WE have a Nazarite vow on us also....The Holy Ghost moves on us like it did on John!
again, answer the question, what were they doing at Jesus's first miracle? Werent they drinking socially? If that was wrong, why did Jesus perform the miracle and turn the water into wine? And guess what, they ran out of wine. My guess is there were some drunk folk there. My stance? If you can drink socially and still act right, they drink away. Not everyone can. Just my two cents. It was alcohol in the bible. Anyone who disagrees and says it was welches grape juice is wrong.

So since we have a nazarite vow on us, I dont have to cut my hair anymore
