Re: Are certain Christian music genres bad?
i came back to say that you seem to have taken this personally, when i meant it more generally; or at least as it applies to us here in the US. But a group of men from the same church did this to some who had just been baptized? that seems kind of strange.
and i don't know your life, but i'm guessing that you are as immersed in the world as anyone, myself included.
i maintain that the establishment i spoke of needs to dry up and blow away; as it is doing. while i applaud those Liberians, that is a completely different planet, imo.
at "The GLORIOUS CHURCH will be presented to the Bridegroom without spot or wrinkle," we might have a discussion about a "Prepared bride," which would surely contrast with your apparent belief in some Rapture of those who accepted Christ--or so they think--and now gather in ever smaller and diminishing groups to point fingers at others, denigrate female pastors producing good fruit, and waiting to die and go to heaven.
and just for perspective, i've been in many Pentecostal churches, and learned from all of them; and don't have any of the common horror stories to tell. Rastafarians do not deny Jehovah; i think the cultural differences may blind us to their actual beliefs; but i'm still searching there.
