You might need to learn to check your sources more closely (trust me, we check them). There are equally Greek texts which do not contain this noun in this text.
For example: http://biblehub.com/text/1_thessalonians/3-2.htm
Here is the interlinear: http://biblehub.com/interlinear/1_thessalonians/3-2.htm
Here is the lexical data: http://biblehub.com/lexicon/1_thessalonians/3-2.htm
Some texts reflect this noun as G1249, while others reflect G4904 - as the texts above demonstrate. Hence, there seems to be a textual variant in this passage - just sayin'.
1Ti 4:6
If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister G1249 of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
Ummm, okay - your point ?
Are you willing to admit that the above people named as 'diakonos' were merely servants and tablewaiters?
Are you willing to say that Peter's mother-in-law was "preaching-teaching" to Jesus ?

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you and the other 2 gentlemen for taking your time to educate on this topic. I have learned a great deal and am now armed with the knowledge to refute error on this topic.
So don't think the effort has gone wasted on those that refuse to follow the bible's clear instruction regarding this topic because there are Christians out here reading, learning and wanting to obey the Word of God. So again thank you.
The Bible doesn't just contain God's Word the Bible IS God's Word.

I recall once, well after your post and me calling you on it that you call your friends "anti's". All that is, is more self justification from where you MUCH earlier stated the anti's needed to go back to Calvary and watch him die. This is disgraceful for you, a missionaries wife, to tell other saints their pastors need to go back to Calvary to watch him die. Justify it anyway you want. It is disgraceful and I highly doubt you have ever stood in one of their pulpits and argued with them over this issue or any other and then turned and told the saints there their pastor needs a trip to Calvary.

It is stupid when the same appeals to emotion are used in spite of the fact that it has been said multiple times:

Man was created first. The woman was deceived not the man. These are the arguments of Paul. The Elders, men, are tasked with feeding the flock of God - a bishop must be the husband of one wife.

You just cannot seem to understand fundamental concepts which is an object lesson as to why women should not teach or preach - to act as bishops/elders.

The fact that so many women cannot understand that basic fundamental fact is an object lesson in why women should not be allowed to do so. The feeding of the flock is to the elders ( Acts 20:17; 28). These elders are the bishops that were the husbands of one wife.
To take this logic would mean that no one needs a shepherd because they can all teach some body some thing. It is this spirit precisely that Got Miriam and Aaron into trouble.

It reveals a stubborn willful ignorance to facts. Then the same person(s) wants to lecture about scripture when they cannot understand plain English.

How refreshing to hear someone say the bolded above. It was only a few posts ago we were left to read such as will follow in the quote below. I thought this was Apostolic friends forum, how Apostolic is this next quote?

This is quite telling to me. It is interesting the priority of placement here which belies a subconscious leaning...

*Thank you very much for your honesty & sincerity....It is quite a refreshing thing to see on this forum.
*Personally, I really don't waste much time on here anymore - just took some time to deal with this particular error. There are so many more topics that have been debated on here ad nauseum - & just like this one - they stubbornly refuse to repent of their false doctrines...despite the crystal-clear evidence that is staring them right in the face .
*Hence, my signature line has been validated once again (for about the 500th time now) .
*God Bless !

Seriously, whose saints are you talking about? Yours? Are your saints on this forum?

Seriously?
I assume you are asking about my comments concerning the saints of pastors that teach against women preachers.
Every "saint" on here is represented by a pastor somewhere. Unless the prerequisite for being on this forum is to not have a pastor. Most likely there are some who have a pastor that teaches against women preachers. Also, there will likely be someone in the future as well.
And no I would not recommend this forum to any saint.
