lambs book of life.

some seem to think this is a literal book .. i propose it is and was JESUS CHRIST.. the bible says he came in a volume of a book /.. when the soldier pierced him in the side he bled out blood and water . the book was opened . life even our spirtual life was given because of the blood shed .. if our names are not written in JESUS blood we are lost ..

Re: lambs book of life.

Revelation 20
King James Version (KJV)

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The preceeding passage seems to imply literal books.

Also the passage that you referenced is:

Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

it does not call Jesus a book but says His comeing was written in a book.

No, it does not say "he came in a volume of a book"

Heb 10:7 Then I said, Lo, I come (in the volume of the Book it is written of Me) to do Your will, O God."

Heb 10:7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.'"

Re: lambs book of life.

Books...old covenant law, Book...new covenant law. I believe it is fair to say that those who lived and died before the coming of the Messiah may be judged according to the books. We who have entered into the new covenant with Jesus shall indeed be judged according to whether or not we are IN the Body of Jesus. Colossians 3:4 "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory".

Re: lambs book of life.

so you really think god will have a literal book sit there on aliteral throne and judgement takes years and years to read it out to each one .. lol. sorry it is spiritually written spirtually discerned ..everything is not a spiritual i know ..
but many things are.
he has no literal throne either .. god is a spirit .. if we take that all literal then JESUS has to literally sit on the fathers hand ..now i know you really dont think that surely . it does take payer and fasting to open our minds to his word and his will.

oh i forgot to say .. because he said it is written of me doesnt take away from him coming in the volume of a book ..he wasnt a walking paper back book . but his life wasa revealing of god like a book would reveal its authors attitudes and personality. of course we know the author of his book .. god..

Maybe God is a speed reader? That there isn't a literal book there does not turn Jesus into a literal book...

Ya but with all eternity ahead of you to spend in heaven... the reading of the book may turn out to be the most interesting thing to happen for the subsequent million centuries.

So, after about a million centuries of praising God, the apostle John exclaims, "Hey, let's read that Book again, except everyone take turns this time!"

John shouts out, "FIRST" and begins to run as fast as he can toward the Book. But Peter overtakes him this time, and sneers,
"Paybacks are heaven, eh, John?"
