For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
Re: Can One Be Saved By Following The Words Of Jes
What about these words of Jesus?
Matthew 16:13-19
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Here it is obvious that the words of Jesus, PLUS the words of Peter indicate eternal life! So therefore, Jesus already had a plan in place which all the apostles were aware of, that Peter had been given the keys to the kingdom of heaven.... so now, we must take Peter's words into consideration for salvation... and when you consider Peter's words on the Day of Pentecost.... then you begin to see the whole picture of what Jesus had taught them.
And the writer of Hebrews spoke of teaching the "Doctrine of Christ" in Heb. 6:1-2. So the words of Jesus, plus the teaching of those who were closest to him - the apostles - must also be very important to our eternal destination.

If all you had was Matthew 25, you might think you have to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, take in strangers, clothe the naked, visit the sick, and visit prisoners.

Timmy, I've already given you the answer.
The question,...
Quote:
Can One Be Saved By Following The Words Of Jesus?
The answer. NO! Because Jesus did not reveal His Plan, until a few minutes before He was taken up.
The New Covenant could not come until Jesus was glorified and sent the Holy Ghost down.
Therefore the complete Plan is not in the Four Gospels. If you are talking about when Jesus walked on this earth. However, as others have told you, the entire Bible is the Word of Jesus. And it all harmonizes.
