Awesome for the train! I'm very sure you could find some elf shoes at a local craft store. Hobby Lobby always has something you can use or build an idea off of. Being Walt loves trains, and you probably have what you need, I would go with that. Maybe have a Gingerbread house in the middle to represent a village, if you have room.
Let us know what you decide, and I hope others add their ideas even if they are not elf related.
You have great ideas for Christmas decorations, but is it possible to include some Christian item? after all we are supposed to be celebrating Christ birth, so I recon he should at least have a token decoration somewhere.

Well, Margie was focusing on the elf shelf. I did say that I hoped anyone else would also include their ideas even if not the elf theme that Margie had in mind.
I will add some things, but right now, I wanted it to be about Margie's idea.
