I'm so sick of that argument. "Well they had polygamy in the OT".

So what? Regardless of what they did in the OT, Jesus makes it as clear as humanly possible that GOD's plan for marriage was always meant to be one man and one woman as it was with Adam and Eve. One man cleaving to his wife. The fact that man has messed it up for thousands of years doesn't change God's plan of what marriage was supposed to be.

So, has anyone come up with a non-religious argument for forbidding same-sex marriage? I haven't seen a valid one, yet.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen a valid reason for forbidding others from doing something your religion forbids. (In the US, at least.)
