This should unite all voters, regardless of party or ideological differences. (link)
We all know Obama and the US Congress shoved Obamacare down our throats. Despite a majority of people being against it. The Republicans warned that costs would increase, NOT decrease, if Obamacare was enacted into law.
Well, it was signed into law and was upheld by SCOTUS and now we're starting to see what a terrible, job-killing, cost-spiking law it is.
The medical device tax has already caused businesses to lay off people and even close down operations. We're seeing issues with the enactment of the state exchanges, medicaid, and other areas.
Well, now the scumbags that voted for this travesty, are behind closed doors in Congress trying to pass a bill that will exclude all 535 members of Congress and thousands of their aides from having to participate in it!
Hypocrisy has no limits for the party of Obama. First, unions begged (and were granted) to be exempted, and now the very ones who forced this on us are trying to weasel their way out of it.
The infuriating thing is - they will likely succeed in doing so.
Quote:
The problem stems from whether members and aides set to enter the exchanges would have their health insurance premiums subsidized by their employer — in this case, the federal government. If not, aides and lawmakers in both parties fear that staffers — especially low-paid junior aides — could be hit with thousands of dollars in new health care costs, prompting them to seek jobs elsewhere. Older, more senior staffers could also retire or jump to the private sector rather than face a big financial penalty.

Go whine to someone else! These morons passed the bill -- they should be forced to suffer like the rest of us!
Quote:
Plus, lawmakers — especially those with long careers in public service and smaller bank accounts — are also concerned about the hit to their own wallets.

Cry me a river. Most members in Congress are sitting fat and happy, with money rolling in from other interests. I have no sympathy for these idiots.
I fully expect slimy Boehner to give political cover to Democrats who shoved Obamacare through, by joining the bill. He'll shed a tear or two while talking about how hard it is to get a good aide to take him tanning every couple days.
So disgusted right now.
