Boehner And Ryan Are Idiots

John Boehner and Paul Ryan stated today that the national debtbis not "an immediate crisis". Duh. Sure, we aren't going to collapse tomorrow, but at what point do we say, "Okay, we are headed for a cliff and we probably ought to start turning this thing around now rather than wait until we're two feet away from the cliff"? If we collapse ten years from now, why would we not lay the groundwork work NOW to stop the overspending and the deep deficits? There is an end game to all of this---it's going to end badly if changes aren't made. Change takes a while in Washington. Do we really think if we keep putting this off we can actually deal with it later?

These people are spineless! Is there not a single one with ANY shred of courage and integrity?

those kind of changes aren't going to occur with divided government. after the dems take the house next year we will close tax loopholes and raise the rates on income 250,000 and higher, and further reform to healthcare to address the debt.

I'm not a party hack. I can criticize my own party because I'm a conservative first, a republican second. Unlike many liberals and Dems who blindly accept everything BO brings down the like, I can call my GOP leaders idiots. What the said this weekend was pure stupid. They give Obama leverage to say, "let's kick the can down the road on this spending stuff."

Yes DM, that's a great formula for fixing the problem. You blindly choose to believe that spending isn't the problem. You believe that raising taxes will fix the economy. It's pure nonsense! It's sad that there are so many mind numbed voters who drink the Kool aid while this president and these Washington insiders drive our nation to the brink of economic disaster and act like it's no big deal.

As long as Republicans think it terms of "we have time" or "this will hurt our childrens future" it will not even be attempted. People will think like King Hezekiah "At least there will be peace in my days".

Most people dont really worry about their childrens future, only their own.
