Friendly Challenge

Merry Christmas! I wanted to do a friendly challenge. How about this Christmas we spend as much money on people we do not know as we do on our family and friends. Shop for them as if they were our own children(angel tree, orphanage,prison,etc) Buy for a family overseas. I have told my children and grandchildren that they recieve gifts of money and others recieve presents to open or recieve things they need. My children have joined in.
Example--I took four names from an angel tree and pretended that they were my small grandchildren. Bought four live ducks for a family overseas that I will never see and gifts for 30 elderly in a rehab wing of a nursing home, salvation army got a donation and a Christmas Cabin that gives gifts to needy children--having GREAT pleasure this Christmas

Excellent idea! We are buying for two children whose names I took from our angel tree at work, and at the suggestion of my sons, we have adopted a family for Christmas. We will be going out and shopping for them this week, and taking them to dinner before we bring them the presents.

This is an excellent idea!
