It is black helicopter nonsense to think they are all high fiving each other behind the scenes, that it is all just some big act.
Notice how I worded my post "I wish people would recognize how united all of the real power brokers and leaders at the highest levels actually are."

When I talk about real power brokers and leaders, I'm not just talking about the ones who revolve in and out every four years. No black helicopters, but I think it would be very naive of you to believe that this thing is all free flowing and every temporary administration is actually walking in and genuinely taking the helm. There are decision makers and direction setters that we will never know or vote for.
The masses in the parties might see a number of things differently, but I stand by my assertion that the high levels of leadership do not see things as differently as you might think.

...and yes a great deal of the politicking during campaigns are, in deed, "just some big act". Sorry

It seems it is human nature to seek out grand conspiracies in things.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

There is a happy, rational medium somewhere between black helicopters and total naivete. That's where I try to live.

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

On a more serious note, it is a fact that the Republican Establishment dislikes discussing the issues of abortion, gay marriage, gun control, religious freedom, and other such issues. Every two to four years they wish us to run a more moderate and friendly campaign against the Democrats. They only truly differ on issues of foreign policy and possibly some of the domestic issues such as Obamacare. Morally there is not a difference between the two of them. This is why there is a fight every two years for the soul of the party. However, I believe that this battle has now been permanently lost.
