Spiritual self-esteem
Definition
Spiritual Self-Esteem (SSE) is the confidence of the mature believer in living the Spiritual life. It is contentment with Love and fellowship with God and confidence in the power and wonder of the new Spiritual life in Christ Jesus. Although Spiritual Self-Esteem begins with recognition of the Salvation work of Jesus Christ in Eternal Security, it becomes effective in Spiritual Maturity at the beginning of the Spiritual adulthood. SSE includes confidence in the use of the divine operating assets of the Spiritual life in separation from the world (Cosmic System). It is symbolized by living in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle, which includes Grace Orientation...

Re: Spiritual self-esteem
ya--his model takes a minute,
but it's compelling to me for some reason.
No compromises. Different terminology-
-for things you already have, but don't have a word for-
-but documentable. Imo. Doesn't hurt to exxxxxx
"Every believer has a Right Pastor, and that pastor can be found by the positive believer just as a dog can find his feeding bowl or a donkey his feeding trough. If the new Spiritual life is not learned and lived by Grace, it will fail."

Re: Spiritual self-esteem
The Road to SSE
The road to SSE begins with Salvation by Grace and continues with subsequent decisions to follow the Lord in the Spiritual life. The priority must become the Spiritual life over personal interests and worldly counterattacks ( Rom 12:2).
And stop being conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renovation of your thinking, that you may prove by testing what the will of God is, the Good, well-pleasing (to God), and complete (Spiritual Rapport). ( Romans 12:2)
Spiritual Self-Esteem is symbolized by living in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle, where every furnishing corresponds to an aspect of the Spiritual life that must be mastered.
Grace Orientation...
Ya, not that strange. Good stuff.

Re: Spiritual self-esteem
...The believer must choose Light over darkness. Just as the olive oil lamps of the Golden Lampstand produced light, the function of the Holy Spirit in the Church Age Believer produces Light and divine Good. Those in the Light have Eternal Life, while those in darkness have spiritual death.
Love
The Ark of the Covenant on the other side of the Veil symbolized the relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ, the Mercy Seat. The believer must also respond to divine Love. He can only Love God with divine Love, which he receives first from God. Christianity is not a religion with man trying to love God with human love. Christianity is a Love relationship with God through Jesus Christ, where the Love is divine Love - not human love ( Rom 5:5).
and confidence does not disappoint us, because the Love for God has been poured out in our hearts through the personal agency of the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us for our benefit. ( Romans 5:5)
Inside the Ark of the Covenant was the Tables of the Law, corresponding to impersonal Love for all mankind (Matt 19:19). Impersonal Love is divine Love in the believer for others. Just as God Loves the world, so the believer must Love his neighbor as himself, which indicates Spiritual Self-Esteem. Loving self symbolizes human self-esteem.
Suffering...

Re: Spiritual self-esteem
Faith (X-axis)
Living the Spiritual life requires walking in Faith. Bible Doctrine must be used to define and decode the mysteries in every aspect of the Spiritual life ( 2 Cor 4:18; 5:7; Heb 11:6). The temporal life is not the Spiritual life. Spirituality is a totally different realm. The events on the Stage of Life must be understood by means of Bible Doctrine. The believer with Spiritual Self-Esteem will understand the meaning of the events in his own Spiritual life. Those who cannot think spiritually will not have a clue...
he's not afraid to pin you to the wall with it.

Re: Spiritual self-esteem
Conclusion
Unlike human self-esteem, which is weak because of the flesh, Spiritual Self-Esteem is the confidence of the mature believer in God's provision of the Spiritual life. The believer with Spiritual Self-Esteem is prepared to meet prosperity and adversity with the confident expectation that God is in control and His divine Plan is sufficient to handle any trial or exigency of life. The believer in Spiritual Self-Esteem has grown Spiritually and been tested. He understands fully the divine operating assets of the Spiritual life. He has Capacity for Life and Love to face all of life's challenges and to live life to the fullest in the Spiritual realm. He enjoys fellowship with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. And he has the fruit of the Spirit with divine Love, Happiness, and Peace. He is living proof that God Loves us and will never leave nor forsake us. And he looks forward to Eternal Life with great reward and blessing in the presence of God forever.

Re: Spiritual self-esteem
SSE is based on Christ's sufficiency, not on mine
SSE is based on who Jesus is and what He has done, not on who I am and what I can do

Re: Spiritual self-esteem
Well, it's funny, I've been all over this site,
and this is the first I've seen of this "SSE."
However, your post reminds me of all the
Pentecostal "Christians," wadr, who just
"got saved," and now are waiting for the rapture,
peeking from behind their curtains, and making
snide remarks about...everyone. Certainly not the
majority, maybe, but that's the image I get?
I doubt you deny that a believer has work to do,
after they are saved? So I wonder if we aren't
closer than it seems. He does take pains, and says
in more than one place, that it is all about Christ.
I actually posted this for contrast with the other thread;
this seems pretty Scriptural--do you have any objections,
Scripturally, to what is said here, like we do on the other? Ty

Sam, that's your best shot?
SSE comes automatically, at salvation? No, it does not;
as evidenced by the closed-minded reactions of Apo/Pent pastors
to adherents leaving the fold. I've seen it, and it is heinous, ok?
Yes, Grace is provided at salvation, but accepting Grace can be pretty difficult, I guess. I'd say your post, at best, ignores all those Scriptures up there, rephrased, basically, "Get to work." Surprised you have an issue here.
