Thank you to all who posted & for your prayers & concern on both my sisters & my families behalf when she was alive & now recently passed, it is appreciated.
My sister passed away on May 10, 2012 & I spoke to the congregation on the following Sunday & as I looked out on the congregation, their faces were somber & solemn.
I said, "whats the matter, you look like someone just died!"
My Pastor just smiled as almost all of them did not get it.
They were so despondent as most of my Church every Sunday before outreach & service, we use to go to the nursing home & pray for Brenda & we felt the Lord so strongly & even seen the hand of the Lord touch my sister & her colour got better & her eyes which seemed cloudy, became clear as a bell.
My Pastor saw the Glory of God on her & we even saw her try to speak, so they were all asking the question--why?
Why didn't God heal my Sister when he healed a new converts sister who had Cancer overseas & healed a sister in our Church that had Diabetes?
I said that we can not know why God heals one & doesn't another but we do know that praying & believing God like they did, was not in vain.
God is still good!
They also need to know that God can give Joy & Peace in the midst of suffering & loss--if we let him.
As soon as Brenda took her last breath, her place in eternity was sealed, and nothing I or anyone else can do anything to change that end result.
I know my Bible & I do not believe that light doctrine has any basis in Biblical reality, but we can contend for the souls that are living which are many.
I came to the Lord over 29 years ago two months after the death of my mother.
Interestingly, my sister's cremains will be buried in my mother's burial plot, probably in August.
The service is this Saturday & pray that souls are ministered to at the service.
God is good!
