OH Unemployment Rate 7.5%; Credit Rating Improve

Under the leadership of Republican Governor John Kasich, Ohio's unemployment rate has dropped to 7.5%, 100,000 new jobs have been added since his taking office and the state's credit rating was upgraded from "negative" to "stable" by all three major credit rating agencies, a first since 2007. The turn around didn't begin until Kasich became governor in 2010. He came into office cutting spending, lowering taxes, shrinking the size of government and making the state business friendly.

Another ominous sign for the Obama campaign....

No, not an ominous sign for the Obama campaign.

I live in Ohio.

Ohio put Obama in office in 2008 and will again in 2012.

Union members went house to house collecting early ballots. One (a pleasant African American lady) came to my house and asked to talk to both my wife and me by name. She already had the names of the adults who lived here. She wanted us to vote early and let her turn in our ballot. I would not talk to her or let her into my house. One (maybe the same person) came to our friend's house on the street behind us.

Michelle Obama called us by phone and said "if you vote early we can assure that my husband wins this election." Of course the phone call was recorded but we were targeted because we live in a predominantly black area (65 percent African American and 25 percent white).

The number of votes reported was larger than the number of voters in Ohio.

I know of only 3 houses in our neighborhood that had McCain signs. I was afraid to put one up. The signs at all three houses were damaged or completely destroyed.

A large African American Church in our city (we have about 20,000 people living here) covered the church signs on its office building with Obama signs and became a place where people could vote early.

It is amazing how any NObama sticker on your car will get it vandalized and yet almost no cars with an Obama 2012 will have theirs touched. Tells you a bit about the demographics between the two voting blocks.
