You can go to church so much that you are immunized against doing anything with what you hear, and have to have the regular "fix" so as not to get in the dumps. God is bigger and longer lasting than all that.

Did you stop to think before passing judgment about too much church that there might to a reason someone said Sunday night and after six pm? Like maybe working Sunday morning and late on weekday nights.
So that might be only opportunity to attend. Wow.
Never mind. Sorry I asked. Admin feel free to delete thread.
Waste of space.

There are folks who can't get to church on a Sunday morning.
I personally would rather sleep late on Sunday and attend an evening service on a regular basis, but I sure don't mind attending Sunday morning and Sunday evening services.
There is a lot right about going to church for Sunday morning and evening services.
I hope you find a Holy-Spirit filled service for your Sunday nights, Encryptus.

Hmm, you said Garland and I'm all ears since that's my hometown.
Yes, Hargrove is in Garland, at North Cities UPC ( http://www.northcities.org/)

Re: Suggestions church Sunday nights Dallas
Why am I not surprised that when someone mentions a preference for church service time, the questions/constructive criticisms start flying on when and where church is supposed to happen?
If anyone has any adderall, please give this thread some of it. Thank you, kindly...

Re: Suggestions church Sunday nights Dallas
There are times I miss Sun evening worship. From my experience a few years back, the morning services were for the cleansing (i.e. cry and weep, at least that what I remember more of), then the evening was the shout-down. Who wouldn't want to shout after the cleansing earlier in the day?
At least there are some churches who still do have evening services. If I ever wanted to participate, I know where to go. In the meantime, www.alcplano.org has been experiencing moves of the Spirit lately that would easily mirror a Sun evening service but with a different flavor. I'm not kidding either...

Re: Suggestions church Sunday nights Dallas
We still have morning and evening services at our church.
Would seem so very strange not to.

So you go to the church in Plano, and not Garland? BTW, I've heard some good things about the new pastor in Plano...

Correct, I go to ALC.
Garland is my hometown, not where I live at the moment. But, I had visited North Cities back in 2000 for a little while during the summer months and had nothing but good to speak of it.
I hope you (as well as others, both locally and on here) will hear even more good things about ALC. There's no doubt in my mind God's will has been and is being done...
