My parents took me to see Charles Johnson & the Revivers when I was younger. That was back in the nineties.

Yep, the nineties was a long time ago. I have never seen them, They did their last public performance this past year, I think in Ohio some where.

I grew up as a small child in a black full gospel church. When I was four years old I could not walk. The doctors in those days said I would never walk because I had some kind of serious fever when I was an infant.

During the course of a sermon in that church the spirit of the Lord Jesus touched me and healed me.

So black gospel music I guess is a part of me and where I grew up.
I also have had the pleasure of preaching in a black full gospel church, they really get with it, believe me!
