Especially since us taxpayers are forced pay for. If you know you don't have to pay for it then makes having babies less of a burden to avoid.

It is really hard to blame young women who want a chance at raising their own children, no matter how young or unprepared they were for the pregnancy, when there are 1.3 million elective terminations every year.

I would say that those babies who are never born are a much bigger reason that there are not infants for adoption.

You might want to mention to your daughter that there are tens of thousands of children available for adoption over the age of five. With those who have been freed for adoption with CPS there are no fees, opposed to the $5K to $40K for the private adoption of an infant.

We are planing to adopt a sibling group and not only will we pay nothing but also will get free medical for them until they are 18.

Aquila, despite our different views about Christmas, you and I have more in common than we disagree upon.

I don't find too many people who agree that many, but not all churches become professional businesses rather than emissaries and servants of God.

What is more frightening to me is that there are children and grandchildren of ministers having babies out of wedlock, then getting married 6 months to a year later. Everybody else in the church system gets sat down, but their mantra is to let us forgive and forget... when it is one of their own.

If it is wrong for other people to live this way, it is wrong for the ministry's children to live this way likewise. And if the little boys and girls in the church cannot contain, how then is the church going to be an effective witness to the lost?

I agree. Sadly, morality, faith, and family are under serious attack. And this does affect the church. Our sons and daughters are going to grow up in the society that godless social engineers are constructing. There is a very dark future ahead of us. But I am having faith that there will be a breaking point wherein God will send a spiritual awakening that will ignite a spiritual revolution. But it will call for some "John the Baptists" raising their voices in the streets, parks, and ghettos... not fancy pants preachers behind polished pulpits. It WILL bring unrest. But the glory of God will burst forth as the rising sun when it chases away the darkness of a stormy night.

Sometimes our vision and eschatology is so bleak and negative, it leaves us hopeless for such a revival.
I guess one would consider Pauls eschatology to be bleak and negative.

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come . 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded , lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 2 Timothy 3:1-4

He did not paint a rosy picture of the end times. Yet he still believed we should continue to preach the gospel.

1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove , rebuke , exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 2 Tim. 4:1

The Earth will be filled with the glory of YHWH. All nations shall bow before him.

John tells us when this will happen.

15 And the seventh angel sounded ; and there were great voices in heaven, saying , The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. 16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, 17 Saying , We give thee thanks , O Lord God Almighty, which art , and wast , and art to come ; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned . 18 And the nations were angry , and thy wrath is come , and the time of the dead, that they should be judged , and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. Rev. 11:15-18

Until then preach the good news to those who will hear it. Preach judgment that every man be warned of the fate of the wicked.

We are not in this war alone...

Revelation 19:11-16 ESV
Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

The Word of God has been riding forward in war against His enemies since His visitation against Jerusalem in A.D. 70.

Only in a spiritual sense. The great tribulation and mark of the beast appears 6 chapters before the Logos comes in glory. We dont want anyone getting confused.

What if Futurism is indeed mistaken, and we are adopting a pessimistic view of the Kingdom? The very same spirit of antichrist was in the emperors of Rome, Popes, Mohammed, Khan, Hitler, Stalin, Mao,...and Christ crushed them all. People who sell their souls to this worlds system are just as marked as those in the theoretical future under a theoretical antichrist. We are losing our culture to Satan's kingdom. This is a very real and spiritual war between two kingdoms. As long as we expect and embrace defeat, that's what we will get. And our children will pay the highest price...their eternal souls.
