If you're refering to the way the Law of Moses commands that one keep the Sabbath such as: 2 No kindling of a fire (
Ex. 35:3), No traveling (
Ex. 16:29), etc.... you're wrong headed. These ceremonial Laws of Moses were nailed to the cross. The Ten Commandments still stand! What is commanded in the Ten Commandments regarding the Sabbath???
Exodus 20:8-11 (ESV)
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
We must REMEMBER the Sabbath day.
We must make it holy, a time to commune with God.
We must rest from working.
The entire family is to participate.
That is ALL that the Ten Commandments command regarding the Sabbath. Therefore, if I choose to remember the Sabbath day I must make it a day of devotion or religious fellowship (going to church gatherings), I mustn't work... in fact... I could go on a nature hike and commune with the Lord, read a book or devotion, or spend the day at the pool praising God every minute for this wonderful life. One of my favorite Sabbaths was one wherein I went fishing and took my Bible along. God and I hand a wonderful time together that day. When I came home we cooked up the fish and celebrated together as a Christian family. You see, I'm called to bring the entire family/household into the devotion. That's all! A day of rest, fellowship with the creator and the saints of God, and family. What a delight! Praise Jesus!
Here's the issue Epley... you are in rebellion against the Ten Commandments.
You can repent. But it most likely would cause you to loose some popularity in the Apostolic organization you're a part of. You keep all their man made rules so well... why not OBEY God?
Matthew 5:18
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Do you BELIEVE Jesus??? The Law of God didn't pass away. Heaven and earth are still standing! Only the handwriting of ordinances did (Law of Moses):
Colossians 2:14
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
So... perhaps you should get your own house in order by repenting and sanctifying yourself in accordance to God's Law before trying to condemn another.
