Prayer for my Mom and Stepdad? Please
Ok, I was born and raised in Apostolic truth since I was born. Matter of fact, if it were not for the mercy and grace of Jesus, I wouldn't be typing this right now! But, my mom and my brother got out of church when I was 11 and my mom wasn't re-married. Well, she met this guy and (I'm not blaming him for anything) now she is pregnant out of wed-lock, and I know she knows truth, but she doesn't want it. I have been praying for her and I need your help, who ever is reading this. I have the gift of intercessory and I am not ashamed to use it! I realized that I wasn't living the right life style after 4 years, Jesus opened my eyes in June. I had an urge to look up my church (First Pentecostal Church in Pensacola) and I found that we have live broadcasting when there is a service! I was so excited because I was not able to go to church because of my mom and my aunt (father's sister) didn't get along... Well, our Lee Stoneking revival was always in August and I remembered and got excited. Well, nevertheless, I got closer to God and I'm glad I'm back. Now I am trying to get the rest of my family back. I have noticed that she has found that the church has live broadcasting and she's going to our church play this Saturday called Emmanuel: God with us. But I need more help. She still makes fun of me for praying and living for God. And if I do something she doesn't like she will try to throw scripture and commandments at me like "Honor your parents" or" You're supposed to be a Christian" and I don't say anything in my mind, under my breath or anything, I just let it go. I know I have three years left in my house hold, but I want my mom and step dad saved! My mom also thinks that once you're saved, you're saved. The bible does say " No one can pluck you from my hand" but sin can still separate you-. After baptism, God reasons with you for what you do after that. But, I'm sorry it was long, but I really appreciate it if you would join me, a stranger, in intercessory prayer. I bless you in Jesus' name!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I am also praying for you and your situation. I know the pain of having family backslide and leave the church. I pray for your peace and comfort during this time of your life.
