I still believe we need each other and yes that includes the very conservative. I heard it said one time by a preacher that having very conservative brothers and sisters helps to keep the church balanced from tipping into the world.
At any rate, regardless of where you are in things like Tithing, modest apparel etc. We need to do our best to love, not offend. I also believe we need to be liberal in blessing the ministry, both the pastor and missionaries etc. I look at AB and know he has done more for the work of Christ then I ever have, I have no right to be critical of his ministry or his convictions...I do however, need to respect him.
What a refreshing thread!

Re: I apologize
I am very appreciative of folks who can apologize
when they feel they've hurt someone else in any way.
God bless you Bro AB and your work for the Kingdom.

Yup. I know some people who are very proud of their humility!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
