This is not government intrusion but a safety matter.
When ever possible i pull over in a parking lot to talk, if i must talk while driving I make sure it is a very important call or I leave my phone off while driving.

As for your last statement, try convincing corporate America of your case and point. They'll disregard it in a heartbeat, specifically since so many people are constantly on conference calls while driving to the office or in the process of flying out of town. Anymore, it's hard to avoid being on the phone when business matters are involved. As for personal, I agree completely, except that I'm married and have small children. So, to have my phone on while I'm out and about only makes sense...
