Tauren Wells, lead singer is married to Lorna Macey (Ron Macey's daughter) of Houston, Texas (Royalwood UPC). Blake Hubbard, their guitarist or bass player (can't remember which) is from Granite City, IL. Not sure where the other band members are from but I am pretty certain that they all met at Indiana Bible College. Talented young people. Wish them well.

I read the article from Ensey's blog. To me, it's as if he did some digging up on the band and came across what he is discouraging. He's painting a picture of weak young people if they decided to take a liking to this band, and that they're going to start wanting to watch MTV. I understand the cautionary tone in his concern but I think it's a little overboard. For me, if it's not played on the Christian radio stations (which I have heard their newest release on the radio here in Dallas, recently, and really like it), I may or may not like it; but it would depend. I'm very strong, not easily swayed by music. So, I think Ensey would be wasting my time if he tried to convince me in person of what he's saying in his blog...

Re: Royal Tailor Band

I have seen this band has perform at my former church atleast twice.

They put on a great show and if you have ever been to any of their shows, you could tell that they're not your run-of-the-mill Christian band who are singing Christian music because they couldn't make it in secular society.

They are very talented and it seemed to me that they were people of prayer.

I am pretty sure that atleast one of the band members is from Miami, FL.

You nailed it good.

The song "Hold Me Together" is the one I was trying to think of in my post earlier. Love love love it. They're actually going to be with Jeremy Camp on 8/13 here where I live; sure wish I could go, more for RT's sake. But, I'm unable to go...

Bro. Ensey must not pay attention to mainstream Christian music, and I suppose since Royal Tailor has Apostolic roots he decided to sit up and take notice. The truth is, many mainstream bands that our young people listen to on a regular basis have music videos with choreographed moves and other elements he might find questionable. Unless he's going to discourage listening to (or using the music of) any Christian band that dances while they sing (and it will be a very long list), I don't think he should pick on Royal Tailor.

I've danced around my kitchen and living room countless times to Christian music. The only difference is, no one was around to video it. Thank God!

I actually LOVE this song, and would be quite happy for my kids to listen to something with lyrics this meaningful. I wonder if Bro. Ensey actually listened to the lyrics and tried to get the meaning of the song? I find it humorous how some people overreact to any bodily movement set to music.

Make A Move

V1
Mr. Good Intentions, too much I wanna do
My mouth just keeps a running, but I never follow through
I heard that true religion, is love with hands and feet
I wanna find my own way to reach a world in need
Yeah, I've been captured by the unimportant
Locked in, and now it's time to break free

Chorus
There's more to life
Open my eyes
Someone is needing You
So I gotta make a move
What good are words
When this world hurts
Real faith will come through
When I make a move

V2
We don't need permission, to go outside of these doors
And dream some crazy dream no one else has dreamed before
To show love and compassion
Wherever we may be
To put faith into action, do more than just believe
We are hope to those who have been broken
We were made to make a difference

Just seems a bit hypocritical when they allow stick dancing or synchronized dancing to be performed.

And, it all becomes a little blurry when dancing and shouting is encouraged.

From Ensey's blog:

Quote:
Let’s stand TOGETHER against the encroachment of this type of non-Apostolic carnality that is knocking on the door of the Apostolic movement. Let’s make a move to keep this kind of stuff out of our meetings!
Gotta love the way Ensey phrases this.

RTB is not Apostolic because he says so. They do not live by his narrow worldview therefore they are carnal, and a danger to "the movement."

He feels no need to define scripturally what they've done that is so evil.

And that is exactly why the "Apostolic" movement is a farce, a fake, and a fraud.

I wouldn't necessarily say the movement, as a whole, is a farce, a fake, and a fraud. I can assure you if the apostles, themselves, were to walk the face of the earth and learn of the earthly apostolic movement, they'd have some things to say. But, I doubt it would be those words...

Other than that, I don't agree with what Ensey had to say about the band. Perhaps he makes his comments out of jealousy since he knows the methods that RTB will have in order to reach people are far different than his...

The video looks like it came right out of an iPod commercial.
