What a farce! What a misrepresentation! What a crock!

The president in an interview with CBS said he couldn't guarantee that Social Security checks would be paid. The deception is that SS has nothing to do with the debt ceiling issue. SS is paid out from the $ that comes in from our FICA taxes.

Scare tactics, plain and simple. He's given up trying to throw money at our lifeless economy and is now positioning himself to blame the GOP when it slides back into recession.

The man is no leader. He still has yet to offer a formal budget! The man never led anything in his life, never created a job, never met a payroll, had zero experience to be POTUS. And yet people voted for him simply because of image, rhetoric and party loyalty. And STILL people stubbornly defend him! Its amazing---I predicted this during the campaign of 2008 and during the gloating of BO supporters in the aftermath of the election in November 2008. One simply had to look at BO's campaign and what he proposed to do to "fix" the economy and it was obvious to anyone with an elementary understanding of economics that BO was going to be a disaster for this country.

I've talked to senior citizens this week who are scared they aren't going to get their SS checks next month. What a shame! What a sham! SS money doesn't come from general fund money. It comes directly from the SS taxes that are taken from our paychecks.

The only thing they have to offer is "tax the rich", which is another lie. They will have to tax all of us more in order to raise the money to pay off the debt. And they wouldn't pay off the debt if they had the money. What does govt do with more money? They SPEND it!

For people to continue to blindly defene this guy and the Dem Party is perplexing. If he is reelected it will be the beginning of the end for this country. For the sake of our nation people, we have got to elect someone people who will cut spending dramatically pure and simple.

The social security money is in a trust fund. The Pres is not in control of it legally. When the treasury borrows from it, it is a loan. It is a crime to missappropriate pension and retirement funds.

It's a bluff, but it will work. TRUTH BE TOLD who's to say social security was EVER a sure deal? This relying on the nanny state has gotten us to THIS point, our last two presidents can spend, spend, spend, spend, spend us into disaster and then the latter of the two can hold us hostage to their spending spree, by saying if we don't give them more money people won't get their social security checks. This system doesn't work. People need to face that fact, if this is our way of "moving forward", we're moving forward down a steep cliff fast. Cut the spending in half. No more foreign interventionalist wars, no more bases in nations that haven't seen war since the 40s, no more police the world, cut entitlements, etc etc.
