Surely you jest.
Of course broad generalizations based upon personal experiences and perspectives serve as insufficient research data, but the culture of the movement seems to be rigid, and exclusive.
DKB's history (Affirmation Statement Proponent and numero uno standards guru) informs this tweet. Anyone with a functioning brain realizes that he is stating the obvious; the UPC will not change its Manual for anyone no matter how much light pours over incorrect doctrines contained therein.

That is beside the point. Those that do it, do it and those are the ones I am speaking of

- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Numero uno standards guru? LOL! Not by the measuring stick of the Ultra Cons!
He has been criticized for statements he has made regarding traditional Western dress and how it has and is changing, for his statements on facial hair, and his acceptance of the use of television.
At most, he can be classified as a moderate.

Exactly, if anything, the UPC as a "body" is shifting to moderate.

Facial hair on men has never been prohibited in scripture, so why would it make him a moderate to say so? If ministers are recognizing that they have been teaching non-biblical clothing/appearance standards, we get to call them moderates now? How about just being "biblical".

Moderate, biblical , I don't care what you call them.
The point was, according to the labels usually given on this forum, they could be said to be shifting to moderate.
I see you been a member a while, not paying attention ?

Exactly. I of course, would not argue DKB or pretty much any UPC minister is "moderate" in terms of greater Christianity. Only in terms of the UPC and it's recent past (last few decades).

I think that "as a body" the UPC has always been rather moderate. Those in control of the "rules" and resolutions writing process however have always tended to be rather radical.
I'll believe that the org as a whole has become more moderate when they take back the Westberg Resolution and return to the agreements made at the merger.
