There is racism in America still-- but I have heard from more than a couple of sources that the Arab Muslim is America's new {n-word}.

As far as misplaced anger at Mexicans (as if most illegal immigrants are Mexican), if that's not racism, well I guess there is a strong argument that irrational racial prejudice still doesn't constitute racism.

Either way, Mexicans do bear brunt of that stereotype here in America, despite that the facts paint a different picture.

I'm not saying America is pure as the driven snow, or that she doesn't have faults and always will.
However, on whole, this country is like no other, where everyone has the freedom to worship God and though some have had more hurdles to jump over, all are given an opportunity to succeed.
She's far better then she is worse.
And it pains me to see her bashed without any balance in the process.

With 85% of Americans claiming to be Christian the actions of America now paint Christianity to be the religion of the conquering consumers. In America now the things that are said about the Muslims and Mexicans are the same things that Nazis said about Jews and Romans said about Christians. Yes Osama has won and he showed he was right when we cowardly went in a killed an unarmed man without a trial.

The America of dreams is no more but remember that all men will know that you are the disciples of Christ if you have love one for another. Protect your citizenship in the one kingdom that pledges its allegiance to you.

Just think of all those people on 9/11, and yes...Muslims too, that would still be here to think, love, hate, worship, fail, succeed....

Sandie: During the Reagen presidency the US went from being the worlds largest creditor nation to becoming largest debtor nation. The NAFTA agreement was written by the first Bush Administration and passed by Clinton. Clinton got oodles of campaign dollars from corporations itching to use cheap labor south of the border because he promised to sign the agreement. Under the second Bush administration 49,000 factories in the US closed and took those jobs out of the country. In the US real wages haven't gone up in over 30 years.

For much of the last century Americans fought, sometimes in the streets for fair wages, safe working conditions and environmental protection. Often the rivers is this country would catch on fire and burn from the pollution in them. Through all this the middle class was born. We take a middle class for granted but a large middle class like the US has is an anomaly in history. Every concession made by the Corporate elites was a hard fought battle. The 40 hour week, overtime pay, even child labor laws required hard work and persistence to achieve. With the election of Ronald Reagen corporate America had its champion and the middle class has been under assault ever since.

Under the 14th Amendment corporations have the same rights a people (virtual people) if you will and they have all the rights of regular citizens. Since last year's Supreme Court decision they have the freedom to contribute as much money as they need to influence elections to their favor. Since these newly created "people" have no conscience to convict and no body to incarcerate they will do what ever it takes to maximize profit at any cost. Living wages, environmental regulations and social programs are seen as obstacles to profit. Corporations have learned that it is cheaper to buy politicians than it is to comply with the regulations. When the people won't hear of it then comes the "free" Trade agreements and globalism is born. Now the whole world is in a race to zero on the pay scale. Predatory capitalism has a insatiable hunger for ever cheaper labor and natural resources. It's like the forth beast that is different from the rest but it could devour everything.

I do like Micheal Moore. have any of you all seen any of his movies. The Movie Sicko is a great eye opening movie but lots of it are sad. There are a lot of people that won't even watch his movies because FOX new and talk radio have attacked him so much. Even people at church are judging him with out ever hearing what he has to say.

Before 9/11 we were funding Bin Laden to kill Soviets. Frankenstein turned on his creator. It is a live by the sword thing.
