When To Call The Fuzz ?

My neighbors in a downstairs apartment were constantly yelling at each other and sounded like a domestic disturbance, so I called the fuzz on them to check on it and also hoping to be a deterrant to future episodes.

My landlord told me not to call the fuzz anymore unless I actually SEE physical fighting or bruises on the woman. My reasoning is that this should be stopped BEFORE it gets that bad. Waiting until then has caused other women to be badly injured or even killed. Is my landlord right?

I don't know how much fighting there has ever been at the hotel but I hear Oliver and Lisa get into it pretty bad sometimes.

And that Sam Druckerd gets pretty nasty when he starts hitting the bottle as well, or so I hear.

Hes wrong.

We had a neighbor a while back who spent 11 years in the Penn for what "he said" was self defence homicide. I got to know him and witness to him a lot. One night he had a women over at his place. I started hearing some really bad and suspicious noise.

I called over there and the woman said everythings all right. Then afterwards I started hearing it again. I called again this time no answer. While I considered what I should do a few minutes later we got a hard knocking at the door. The woman was standing there crying wanting in.

I opened and she came in begging for help. She had blood all over her clothes and we heard him outside yelling. She said DONT CALL THE COPS. That left me in a bad situation. If I did not I would personally be responsible for her safety if he crashed through my door. Altho I could have stopped him once inside the door I did consider him a "friend".

I did call the Police and they arrived quickly took him down and beat the heck out of him. Then off he went to Jail. We later found out he had assaulted 4 other women the same way.

I know your landlord doesnt want the Police coming around but be very discerning. We want to "mind our own business" for sure. Yet someones life could be at stake.

Your landlord doesn't get to tell you when you can call the cops. You call them anytime you feel it's necessary. Period.

If the landlord doesn't want people calling the cops, he shouldn't rent to people that commit crime (or cause disturbances).

I wouldnt tell the landlord i called the cops ,that is priveledged info, the cops aint gonna tell him,maybe another neighbor called them.
