Sorry to surprise you, but we PREACH AGAINST GAMBLING. I don't consider letting kids play organized sports a gamble in any way, if they've been taught right and are strong Christians.
By the way, my kids were also involved in every possible church activity, and they weren't allowed to miss any services for games or practices. That's always been a house rule.

Or even better, the time spent on FORUMs or on the GOLF COURSE had been spent winning souls.
