Simple, do the will of God.

Re: What is a "great man/woman of God"?
In the context it is used, it usually means someone who has earned people's respect and admiration.

Re: What is a "great man/woman of God"?
A GREAT man or woman of God is one who says, "I am nothing. He is all in all."
There are no great men and women of God. They may be good preachers. They may get alot done for the Kingdom. They may win alot of souls, and may bring healing and deliverance to the masses. They may help alot of people, but the minute they begain to think they are great, they become nothing at all.
This is a paraphrase from the "great" Rev. Billy Graham. To which I say, Amen, brother. Amen.

Re: What is a "great man/woman of God"?
I hate it when people say someone is a "great" man of God. It makes me feel like saying, "Well, I have a story for you about that person!!". (As in the thread this thread is probably referring to.....I just about did that very thing but refrained.) One thing I've noticed since I've left the UPC is all the back patting that goes on especially towards the ministry. It's almost like a ministry pacifier.
