Re: **preacher forums**
The truth is, the admin of this forum know enough to confirm what I am saying, but are way too kind and merciful to do so.

You will impale a man for those things, and attempt to destroy his reputation, his ministry, his family and his legacy for issues that do not matter, but turn around and extend much mercy to an admitted adulterer who has permanently damaged the reputation of ministers every where, destroyed his family, and fractured his church.
And the only reason you extend such mercy to the adulterer is because he agrees with your ideology.
You love your ideology more than you love your God.

Well, since I don't teach any traditions, and do my best to simply stick to the bible, I am not sure how to answer this post.

Re: **preacher forums**
Is there a difference between a repented adulterer or pervert versus one that has not repented?
So the accusation is now that the other forum has multiple posters who are adulterers, perverts and pretend preachers, correct?
And they have not repented and do not believe they need to.

Re: **preacher forums**
Charnock, I don;t know if it is any different in the States than it is up here but I have known a couple of Ministers that made a mistake & both instances Men of God pursued after them.
One repented, the other avoided and hid from them.
Both Ministries are destroyed.
Adultery is not tolerated if people are aware of it.
If you are aware of situations then it is up to you to deal with it in an appropriate avenue.
Not on an open forum.

And it i9s Biblically wrong.
If you know of any situations (specifically) then it is incumbent upon you to follow it up in the appropriate way.

No, you are right, but I do know my Bible & what you are doing is wrong.
I belong to a Preachers only forum & what you have stated broad brushes both me and fellow Ministers with your statement.

I don't belong to a Preachers only forum.
But I would agree that the dialogue here has broad brushed any preachers only forum.
Charnock - it sounds as though you have some reason to be upset.
However, I intensely dislike it when anyone makes an accusation then cannot or will not back it up with names or details.
If you are not prepared to back it up for everyone's education, then why bring it up.
Maybe you did not intend for this to go as far as it has.

The implication is that most preachers are greedy, dishonest, and immoral.
It has been my experience that very few meet that low estimation, and that most are "honest and sincere individuals who are literally laying down their lives for their flocks..."
I apologize in advance if I have misread your intent; loss of tone and inflection is the achilles heel of written communication.

Really? I thought the implication was non-specific as to number, that there are some that are greedy, dishonest and immoral.
That is an un-refutable fact.
What is bothersome is that we've had some come here and try to accuse NOW of being pro homosexuality, when all he had said was he was willing to reach out to them with the gospel and not treat them spitefully. In the process of doing that these "gentle-men" resorted to innuendo of homosexual acts. I've heard from others that these sorts of innuendos happen often on the preachers forum and nothing is done. Yet if someone is seen as not being a hard liner on standards that person can be banned. That is the wide wide perception of people that were actually members OF those forums and either left of their own free will after being disgusted or were themselves banned for voicing their opinions.
Usually the counter argument is that person is a liar (that just happened a few posts earlier towards Charnock) and is just bitter. Well to many this just looks like another good ole boys cover-up.
Same thing happens to whistle blowers in the world. It's the same reason why people that have been mistreated or abused don't come forward and speak up, because usually the machine will make the victim the accused and the accuser the victim until something happens that allows the victim to finally speak up. It's how a predator can get away with abusing little girls while being in a position of trust, because the predator relies on nobody believing he can do such a crime. It's happened many many times in many different denominations and sadly it often gets covered up by good men.
Still, you are correct, they are not ALL that way. The irony here is we say the same things about Moderate muslims. They aren't the minority of extremist that are killing people. But often the perception is that the good Muslims aren't doing enough to speak up and out against the extremists. They are seen as too passive.
